ECS - Scotland

In peaceful surroundings, 10 minutes walk from the centre of Edinburgh, ECS Scotland is a small, independent school specialising in intensive one-to-one and small group courses for professional people who need to communicate well in English for work or study.

Courses include general, business, academic and specialist English at all levels from beginner to advanced, and are available throughout the year, with a maximum of 5 people in a group and the emphasis on individual needs. Our focus is primarily on speaking and listening skills, although reading and writing skills and exam preparation are also covered.

Our experienced teachers use up-to-date resources and techniques, and you’re encouraged to use our self-access centre to consolidate what you’ve learned in class or prepare for international examinations such as FCE, CAE/CPE or IELTS.

Class learning is combined with professional and cultural visits in or near Edinburgh, and hospitable Homestay accommodation helps ensure that you make the most of your time using English. At ECS Scotland, we’re committed to providing you with both quality learning and a rich cultural experience.
